On the 7th day of the earthquake that occurred in 10 provinces of Turkey, a statement was made by the Turkey-Kocaeli Headquarters International Journalists Association.International Journalists Association UGC-Earthquake Crisis Center was established under the management of Kocaeli Journalist Chairman Ahmet Öz. Experiences in the Marmara earthquake were used. Numbers on social media posts were called one by one to confirm, and useful, reachable phone numbers were identified.
Contacts of the International Association of Journalists in the Earthquake Ahmet Öz, President of the International Association of Journalists, " Mersin Governorship, Mersin Youth and Sports Director, Mersin afad Director, Mersin Student Dormitories Managers, Official institutions of Konya, Karaman and 10 earthquake-affected provinces, AFAD Headquarters and AKUT, Sakarya, Kocaeli, Urfa, Mersin Within 7 days, we have been in constant contact with the search and rescue teams operating in Adana and the earthquake zones, the deputies, and our Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tahir Büyükakın-Private Secretary-Press and Public Relations Manager working in Hatay.We evaluated the demands of more than 500 earthquake survivors.As the International Association of Journalists, we received requests from earthquake victims residing in 450 hatay and around 70-odd provinces in 9 other provinces, as well as ugc journalist members working in the earthquake region, and tried to resolve approximately 90 percent of the requests and notices sent to us as a result of our contacts with official institutions. We also confirmed whether their problems were resolved by calling the people who submitted their notices and requests by phone afterwards.

20 percent - food, meals, funeral vehicles, shelter, ambulance, transportation, logistics, etc.
As the International Journalists Association, a non-governmental organization serving Turkish and foreign journalists operating around the world, we tried to help our earthquake victims without sleeping properly within 7 days, and we will continue to help from now on. We wish God's mercy on those who lost their lives in the earthquake, our condolences to their families and relatives, and a speedy recovery to our injured people."
